Benwell Roman Temple

Benwell Roman Temple at Hadrian's Wall, Newcastle upon Tyne, England.
The temple would have been sited in the vicus (civil settlement) outside the fort. It can be seen today in Broomridge Avenue. It is a rectangular building of stone measuring 16 x 10feet internally, with an apse at its south end which contained the cult statue of Anenociticus.
